Step under the great white canopy on a Saturday morning. The stalls spills over with apples, tomatoes and fresh-baked bread while a young banjo player leads a huddle of trad musicians — fiddle, box and harp — through a tune that seems to lift clean off the canvas.
Una Heaton paints the Milk Market not as a place but as a feeling: the crush of neighbours, the colour of the produce, and the music and craic that make this one of the liveliest corners of the Treaty City. Every face looks like someone you've met; every basket sits close enough to touch.
